DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS
ARRANGEMENTS CRITICISED

The action of tho New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association in granting the Auckland centre permission to decide a stage of the Dominion diving championships from a punt in the harbour during the Annette Kellerjnan Cup race was criticised at a meeting of the Canterbury centre to-night. It was stated that the Otago centre had protested against this arrangement And it was agreed to follow the Otago centre's example. Miss I). Brown said she could not see how the arrangement could be satisfactory. Mr. S. Hollander agreed and stated he was surprised that tho council had given permission. He did not think it was a good arrangement.
