TWO YEARS' DETENTION
MAORI YOUTH SENTENCED

ROTORUA, Thursday
Two years' detention in a Borstal institution was the sentence imposed upon a 17-year-old Maori youth in the Rotorua Police Court to-day, when he was convicted on two counts of theft of clothing from a motor-car parked in a street. Police evidence showed that accused had twice previously been beforo tho Children's Court.
