SCHOOLGIRLS' TOUR

The Western Australian Federation and Parents and Citizens' Association, which each year sends a group of schoolgirls on a tour of the various Australian States, has planned for this year a more ambitious project—a tour round the world, states * the Sydney Morning Herald. Leaving Fremantle next May, the party will undertake a tour that will encircle the world, visiting Suva, Honolulu, Canada, and America, the British Isles, and continuing on through France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Sicily, and Malta. On their journey from Western Australia, the party will pick up tourists at" Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, and groups will also join from Queensland, Tasmania and New Zealand.

The Commonwealth and Western Australian Governments have both expressed their approval of the scheme. In all places visited, sightseeing tours will be arranged, and the visitors will be received by representatives of the Governments and citizens' organisations.

The tour throughout will be under the direction of Miss E. Hooton, general secretary of the Western Australian Federation of Parents and Citizens' Associations.
