COLOURED PRINCIPALS

IMPORTANT ROBESON FILM

In "Bosambo," which is an adaptation of Edgar Wallace's novel, "Sanders of the River," Paul Robeson has the part of the native king, and makes a striking figure, leading his warriors. His magnificent voice records perfectly. Nina Mae McKinnay, the famous coloured vaudeville star, is seen when the picture opens as fltie of a band of Ochori slaves being driven through the bush by their Akasavi captors. They are met by Bosambo and his warriors, who kill the guards and rescue her. This battle between the two parties of natives is carried out with startling reality. Other important parts are played by Leslie Banks, Joan Gardner and Robert Cochran. "Bosambo" will be released by United Artists.
