CHARGE OF MURDER
BRIGHTON TRUNK CASE GIRL'S EVIDENCE HEARD LONDON. Dec. 12 The trial of Jack Notyre on a charge murdering Violette Kaye, a dancer, whose body was found in a trunk at Brighton, was continued at Lewes. A 17-year-old girl, Doris Saville, stated in evidence that Notyre concocted a story for her to tell the police, which was that she and Notyre visited Miss Kaye at the Brighton flat and afterward went out and returned to find Miss Kaye dead. Notyre informed the police that he returned to the flat and found Miss Kaye murdered, also that he feared to say anything because he could not provo his innocence. Sir Bernard Spilsbury, the Home Office pathologist, using a human skull, demonstrated the injuries to Miss Kaye, whoso skull was fractured by a blunt object. He said that death was not due to poisoning. The hearing was adjourned.
