TRAIN HOLD-UP
THIEVES SECURE WHISKY SPIRITS VALUED AT £4OOO CONSIGNMENT FROM GLASGOW (Received December 13. 6.50 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 13 Armed men brought trains from Glasgow to a standstill at dead of night by greasing the rails on a heavy gradient. They secured £4OOO worth of whisky, which they carted away in motorlorries.
