LEVEL CROSSING RISK
COLLISION AT WESTFI ELD MOTOR-CAR AND TRAIN A level crossing accident occurred at Westfield yesterday morning when a motor-car, driven by Mr. William Pothybridge, of Papakura, with a lady passenger, collided with a- goods train. The car was travelling toward Auckland about 10 a.m. and, as it approached the entrance to the Westfield Freezing Works, an engine and a rake of cattle trucks drew out of the yard and proceeded along the railway lines which cross the main Toad. The car crashed into the side of one of the trucks. The front ,of the car was damaged but both occupants escaped injury.
