CHRISTMAS PARTY
A Christmas party was held at the Parish Hall, Takapuna, last evening for the children of the Brett Memorial Home. The organisers were "the friends of the home," who comprised a committee of ladies. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree was laden with gifts and each of the 50 children received one. Mr. Armitace represented Father Christmas. Each child received a bag of sweets. The ladies of the committee comprised Mrs. S. Heighway,, Mrs. Nancarrow, Mrs. J. W. Williamson, Mrs. Brett, Mrs. Gordon, Mrs. H. Matthewman, Mrs. J. Ellis, Mrs. A. Seaman, Mrs. Algie, Mrs. Gunn, Miss Lorie and Miss Hewlett.
