EGG PRICES INCREASE STRAWBERRY VALUES LOWER A further rise of Id a dozen for both hen and duck eggs is the principal change in the retail prices of foodstuffs during the past week. Hen eggs arc now being offered at Is 4d a dozen and duck eggs at Is 3d. The rain earlier in the week has caused increased quantities of strawberries to be brought forward, with a corresponding decrease in prices, best quality Captain Cooks now being available at Is a chip and best quality Marguerites at lOd. Passion fruit, tree tomatoes and poorman oranges are no longer available, but largo supplies of peaches, plums, and apricots are now selling freely. Is to 1b 6d. „ EGGS Duck, Is 3d ft dozen; hen, Is 4d. a.p.a. dividend 2\ PER CENT PROPOSED The directors of the Australian Provincial Assurance Association, Limited, of Sydney, propose payment of a dividend' of 21 per cent for the year ended September 30. Last year 1\ per cent was paid. There was no dividend in 1932 and 1931, while in 1930 the distribution was 21 per cent.
