Mrs. J. A. Kilner, Victoria Avenue, has left for Palm Beach, Waiheke. Mrs. Reid Bell, Victoria Avenue, Remuera, has returned from a holiday to the Braigh, Waipu. Miss Marjorie Dryden, Salthurn Road, Remuera, is the guest of Mrs. 0. T. Evans, Kelburn, Wellington. Mrs. Sydney Worsp and Mrs. Carnarvon, Whangarei, will arrive in Auckland by car to-day en route to Hastings. 'Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Pickwick and their daughter Rita, of Hokianga, returned by the Aorangi on Monday from a visit to North China. Mrs. P. Simpson, and Miss D. Simpson, Leeds, England, and Miss Margaret Gunson are spending a holiday at Mon Desir Hotel, Takapuna. Mrs. Alexander Kinder and Miss Barbara Kinder, Port Waikato, Mrs. H. T. Toomans, and Mrs. E. J. Reid, Motutapu, are at the Hotel Cargen. Mrs. T. Rixon, New Plymouth, Mrs. F. Rolfe, Putaruru, Miss E. D. MacGarry, Hamilton, and Miss Trixie Wood, Dunedin, are at the Station Hotel. The members of the Epsom Loyal Temperance Legion- were entertained by Mrs. H. Kasper this week to a party and Christmas tree. There were fifty children and some of their mothers present. The children sang choruses and duets and songs were rendered by Misses Edna Nielsen, Bona Geffreys, June McMin, Muriel New, Mary MeMin and Dawn Phillips. Recitations were rendered by Gloria McMin, Joyce New, Ken Cane and Carl Johns, and a pianoforte solo was played by Jack Nielsen. Mr. L. Faulkner gave an address. Mrs. Henderson presented Mary McMin with a book for having gained the most .members during the year. Bouquets were presented to Mrs. Cane, Mrs. Kasper and Miss Rawley. Father Christmas gave a present and a bag of sweets to every child.
