GRENADIER GUARDS BAND
Sir, —So far I have not seen or heard any reference to a broadcast of the Grenadier Guards' Band for the benefit of the many country listeners who have to rely on the radio for entertainment. Foreign musicians and singers coming to New Zealand are broadcast from one end of the country to the other ([ presume at a price). Surely this best of aH bands from our own Homeland is worthy of the same treatment meted out to those of other nationalities. I consider the Broadcasting Board is failing in its duty and deserves all the hard things said of it if it does not arrange for one broadcast at least before the band leaves. To all true Britishers the Grenadiers are something more than a band, and it is an act of sheer cruelty to deprive us of the pleasure of listening to them. _ Bandsman's Sister.
