SUBURBAN THEFTS

BOYS AS SUSPECTS At least two burglaries committed in Auckland recently are thought by tho police to have been the work of boys. Thorough investigations have been made in both cases, and as a result, a number of boys, at present in the custody of their parents, will appear bofore the Children's Court. Tobacco and a postal note, of a total value of £lO, were stolen from the premises of Amalgamated Tobacco Manufacturers, Limited, Eden Terrace, late last month. The thieves broke a window at the side to enter the building. The second case involved tho theft of dies, keys and other articles, valued at £lO, from the cycle shop of Mr. C. A. Oldhury, in Clarence Street, Dcvonport, last week-end. Here, too, a window was broken.
