Eskell, of Wellington, manager in New Zealand for Universal Films, returned to Richland from Sydney by the Monterey on Saturday, Major G. T. Gillespie, of the Defence Department, returned yesterday morning from Wellington, where be ha* been attending a conference of staff officers. - Mr. P. W. Maddock, of Wellington, general manager in New Zealand for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Limited, returned from Sydney by the Monterey on Saturday. The Hon. T. Blood worth, the Bon. D. Buddo, and the Hon. Eliot R. Davis] M.L.C.'s, were among the passengers on the limited express from VYellington oh Saturday morning. Mr. F. Taylor, of Sydney , manager of a large Australian firm of woollen manufacturers, and Mrs. Taylor arrived at Auckland by the Monterey on Satnrday on a holiday visit. Mr. E. R. Hudson, a former Mew Zealander, and now Superintendent of the Department of Agriculture in Tasmania, arrived at Auckland by the Monterey on Saturday to make a fire weeks' tour of the Dominion. Mr. A.
