' AKAROA AT LONDON The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Akaroa arrived at London from Auckland last Thursday. She was despatched from Auckland on September 14. THE MONOWAI The Monowai arrived at Sydney from Aucklahd at six o'clock last evening, after a faat passage of less than three days. After calling at Melbourne the vessel will leave Sydney on Friday for Auckland, where she is due next Monday. THE KALINGO To complete unloading cargo from Sydney and Newcastle tbe Kalingo sailed for Gisborne at mid-day on Saturday. After discharge the will proceed to Clarence River and Newcastle to load for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. PORT GISBORNE CLEARED DAKAR Reported to have cleared Dakar last Thursday, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Gisborne is en route from Auckland to London. She was despatched from Auckland on September 18. MAUNGANT7I AT BAN FRANCISCO The Royal Mail liner Maunganui waa due at San Francisco from Wellington on Friday. The vessel is to sail on Wednesday for Wellington and Sydney, via Papeete and Rarotonga. She is due at Wellington on November 17. WANGANELLA LEAVES SYDNEY The WanganeUa left Sydney for Wellington at one o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The vessel is due at Wellington'to-morrow evening and is to Sail for Sydney and Melbourne on Thursday. TANKER LIMNEA The tanker Limnea arrived from Lyttelton on Saturday night and she is unloading the remainder of her bulk petrol cargo at Western Wharf. She is to aaU on her return voyage jto Balik Papan at mid-day to-day. MAKTJRA AT SYDNEY The Royal Mail liner Makura arrived at Sydney from Wellington early on Saturday morning. The vessel will leave Sydney on Thursday and Wellington the following Tuesday for Raro tonga, Papeete and San Francisco. THE MONTEREY Continuous boisterous south-west winds and rough seas were experienced by the Maison Line steamer Monterey, which arrived from Sydney on Saturday morning. She resumed her voyage to Los Angeles ®nd _ San Francisco the same afternoon. She is due at Los Angeles on November 3. THE TAMAROA The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Taniaroa arrived at Lyttelton' from Wellington yesterday to complete discharge and to commence loading. Her other loading ports are Wellington, Auckland and Napier. She is scheduled to clear Napier for Southampton and London, via Panama, on November 6. WATERFRONT HOLIDAY TO-DAY To-day will be a holiday on the waterfront and no cargo work will, be done on vessels in port. The time-tables of local coastal vessels will be suspended for .the day and will resumed to-morrow. All shipping companies' offices will be closed to-day. RUAHINE CLEARED CURACAO Th« New Zealand Shipping Company has "received advice that the liner Ruahine cleared Curacao last Thursday, in continuation of her voyage from London to New Zealand. The vessel is due at Wellington on November 14 to land passengers and mail. The. cargo will be unloaded at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. WTNGATUI DELAYED After being delayed by bad weather the Wmgatui left Lyttelton on Friday evening for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is to leave Wellington to-morrow and she is due at Auckland on Friday morning. Owing to the delay she will be replaced by the Kartigi, which will be despatched from Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru next Friday. RANGITIKI DUE TO-MORROW Further wireless advice received from the New Zealand Shipping Company's motorliner Rangitiki states that she is meeting with fine weather and will arrive from London at seven o'clock to-morrow evening. The vessel has passengers and mail for New Zealand and cargo for discharge at Auckland and Wellington.
