Fivlay The constitution of the recentlyformed New Zealand Billiards Control Council was vigorously challenged yesterday by delegates to the meeting of tho Canterbury Association. The council was formed of players attending th« recent New Zealand championship at Dunedin. . • The delegates at yesterday's meeting expressed the view that, as the Canterbury Association was the only body in the Dominion affiliated to the British Billiards Association and bad already applied for control of the game in New Zealand, the new body was not entitled to assume the position o» governing authority without reference to the local executive.
