WEATHER AND FLYING
ADEQUATE SERVICE NEEDED VIEW OF METEOROLOGIST [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLES GXOX, Fridty The ordinary weather forecasting service as it exists in New Zealand cannot pretend to meet the demands of aviation, according to Dr. E. Kidson director of meteorological services. He said that before much regular flying could be done an adequate service was required. In hrs opinion a commencement should be made at once with the organisation of such a service, otherwise New Zealand would be caught without it when it was urgently wanted. A meteorological organisation was $n insurance it would be foolish to disregard. Br. Kidson indicated that, linked up with the meteorological service, should be services at the air ports, main aerodromes and other important points.
