THE PERFECT WOMAN
AT A MOMENT'S NOTICE! America's beauty specialists are prepared to turn out perfect women at almost a moment's notice. Thirty-two thousand of them recently met in New York to discuss their latest achievements. They will supply clients with whatever they may lack —retrousee noses, cupid bow lips, artificial hair and nails. Artificial lips only one hundred thousandth of an inch thick are laid over nature's own. They are guaranteed to endure the roughest treatment for at least 24 hours, and you may choose your own shape, the price being 4s for five pairs. Artificial ears are made from court plaster. Of noses, one expert says: " Many | women want to tilt their noses to give them a saucy look. We take a wax impression of the inside of the nostril and make a thin gold-plated frame which has the desired shape. Therfte new noses cost £7, but soon we shall be selling them cheaply in all the big department stores." Artificial finger nails are decorated with miniature pictures. One set expresses in hieroglyphics the phrase, " I love you." Bridge fanatics can have their favourite suit emblazoned on their nails. Then there are finger nails with perfect half-moons. These are recommended for typists whose nails are worn by hard pressure on the keys.
