WEDDING
WATTS—TILLY The wedding was soleinnised at Holy Sepulchre's Church, Khyber Pass, Auckland, of Adeline May Beale, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred r iilly, Avondaie South, to Richard Henry Watts, third son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Watts, Rakaia, Canterbury. Tho Rev J. E. Draper performed the ceremony. Mr. Trevor Sparling presided at the organ, and Miss Sarah Stacpoole sang a solo. The bride, who was escorted by her father, made a charming picture gowned in cream chiffon velvet made on slim lines, with a silk girdle at the waist. From the shoulder fell a long train, and her billowing tulle veil, which made a second train, was caught to the head with a circlet of orange blossoms. The bride also wore a topaz cross, an heirloom of the family. A beautiful sheaf of cream roses and lily of the valley was carried. In attendance were Mrs. Allright (matron of honour), wearing a froclc of deep rose chiffon velvet; Miss Romsey Donald (a dainty little flower maid), dressed in spring green chiffon velvet, carrying a basket of roses, fastened with a tulle bow; Misses Doreen Jouning (cousin of the bride), T. Benton, E. Berridge and C. Welch. They all wore clinging gowns of spring green chiffon velvet, made with tight-fitting bodices and graceful, flared skirts caught with sprays of hand-made flowers. Their Leghorn picture hats were trimmed with soft green bows and they carried sheafs of gold star and pink roses, caught with tulle streamers. The matron of honour carried deep cream roses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. as best man and Messrs. L. Wilson and B. Julian acted as groomsmen. After tho ceremony a wedding breakfast was held at tho Grosvenor Cafe, tho tables being decorated to correspond with the colours of the bridal party. Mrs. Alfred Tilly received her guests wearing cigar brown chiffon velvet trimmed with squirrel fur, and hat to tone. She carried a posy of gol<! pansies. Aunts of the bride who were present were: — Mrs. C. Annctt, in black chiffon velvet. Mrs. W. Jouning, Mrs. S. Till, Mrs. A. Donald, junr. In the evening a reception was held. Musical items were rendered bv Mrs. L. Collier. Miss S. Stacpoole, Miss H. Collier, Mr. E. Childs, Miss K. Childs, Miss Thoral Koefe and Mr. Rushen.
