Samuel, M.P.'s, were among the passengers from Wellington on the limited express yesterday morning. Colonel J. E. Duigan, officer commanding the Northern Command, returned from Wellington by the limited express yesterday morning. Mr. J. W. Bailey has been reappointed adjudicator in the elocutionary sections of the Dunedin Competitions Society for its 1935 festival. Mr. A. M. Seaman and Mr. S. Taklc, members of the Development af Industries Committee, returned from Wellington by yesterday morning's limited express. The Rev. S. W. Artless, organising secretary of the diocese of Manchester and Blackburn, has been appointed Melanesian secretary for home organisation, to date from January 1, 1935.
Mr. W. E. Anderson, secretary of the Auckland Employers' Association, left for Wellington by train yesterday afternoon to attend the annual meeting of the New Zealand Employers*' Federation. He is expected to return on Friday morning.
