NAVAL VESSEL OF UNUSUAL DESIGN RESPONDS TO AN URGENT RESCUE CALL The British minelayer Adventure, which went to the rescue of the salvage tug Taikoo when the tug was being battered by a typhoon off the coast of China. The tug was caught by the typhoon while attempting the salvage of the stranded steamer City of Cambridge. An unusual feature of the Adventure is her straight stern, from which the mines are laid.
