VISIT OF AUSTRALIANS CONTESTS IN AUCKLAND ■■J A programme which in every way will accord with the high standard which amateur boxing has reached in tho past will bo offered by the Auckland Boxing Association at tho Town Hall next Monday evening, when the visiting team of leading Australian amateur boxers will meet tho pick of Auckland performers. Every year the annual provincial amateur championships arouse great interest among sporting patrons and this year's tournament a few weeks ago was no exception, excellent boxing and spirited fighting distinguishing many of the contests, especially the finals. Tho visit of the Australian team will afford patrons tho opportunity of seeing the local champions in action against selected boxers from another country.. The Australians are not all champions of their country, but every one of them boasts a record of which to be proud and each is n true representative of tho Australian standard. Against.
