CRITICISM 13Y MR. D. JONES THE GOVERNMENT'S VIEWS [BY TEI.KGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Saturday The criticism, made by Mr. David Jones, chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Hoard,- of Canada's trade policy was referred to by the Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coatcs, who said that if the statements attributed to Mr. Jones were correct they did not represent the views of the New Zealand Government, on whose behalf Mr. Jones had no authority to speak. A Press Association cablegram from Vancouver on Friday stated that in an interview at Victoria, British Columbia, Mr. Jones, on his arrival by the Niagara, said: "New Zealand is getting tired of the way in which Canada is carrying on. Unless the spirit of the Ottawa agreements in more liberally interpreted in this country it will not be long beforo we will bo compelled to adopt measures which will ho more to our advantago."
