MISS THOMPSON'S MISHAP CONDITION OF MACHINE ATHENS, Oct. 1 It is now stated that Miss Freda Thompson, the Melbourne girl who is flying to Australia, landed in the Attica region owing to bad weather and descended on rough ground. The .machine was temporarily damaged, and 6he hopes to resume her flight. It appears that Miss Thompson did not allow for the difference of an hour between Brindisi and Athens times and consequently was overtaken by darkness.
