RIFLE SHOOTING
WHANGAREI DEFENCE CLUB [from OCR own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Tuesday Tho report presented at tho annual meeting of the Whangarei Defence Rifle Club disclosed a very successful senson. The new Whareora range wns acquired by tho club during the year. Tho election of officers resulted :—Patron. Mr. A. J. Murdoch. M.P.; president, Mr. J. 11. Ashton; vice-president, Mr D Wilton; secretary and treasurer, .Mr. Slado Clark; auditor. Mr. A D. Jack; committee Messrs. D. Wilton. N. C. Shepherd, C. Rnddell, M. K. Stewart, and Cr. Neville; handicappers, Messrs. D. Wilton and blade Chirk; ranee officer, Mr. E. A. Foot:. It was decided to hold a Isorth Auckland riflemen's shoot on Labour Day at the Whareora range.
