THE MINING MARKET BETTER DEMAND FOR WAIHIS GAIN OF !/- IN BUSINESS The demand for Waihi mining shares showed improvement on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday and selling took place at 34s 6d and 355, a full rise of Is. Broken Hill Proprietary sold 2d dearer at 51s 9d and Big Rivers also registered a slight gain in a transfer at Is 7Jd. Matakis and Skippers eased a shade on sale, while Bell Kilgours and Goldfields Dredging wore placed at current prices.
