MAN FALLS FROM FERRY
EXCITEMENT ON NGOIRO PICKED UP BY DINGHY There was excitement on the f err -j steamer Ngoiro when a middle-aged man fell overboard as the vessel was approaching the Nortkcote Wharf shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturdaj. A lifebuoy was quickly thrown to him, but the man, who was apparently a strong swimmer, called out, " I'm a " right," and begati swimming away from the steamer toward the shore. The vessel was reversed, however, a dinghy was lowered after some difficulties, and the man, who was fully clothed, was nicked up while still s;w miming strongly, arid taken back , t " the Ngoiro. On arrival at. the wharf, tin walked away, apparently none ttu worse for his misadventure.
