Lady Buckleton presided. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, said they all resetted that the time spent by these visitors to our shores had been so brief. # However, they had seen as much as it was possible to show them in the short'time at their disposal, and he was sure the friendships they had made in. this country would be lasting ones. Laidv Pomare gaVe them the beautiful Maori farewell that begins with the words: "Go —go with the love of those sisters you have left behind you, and finishes with the exhortation, Be brave —be strong —be of good health—be prosperous!" Mrs. Martin Tweed spake a word of greeting from the Girl Guides and gave them flowers. Mrs. Helen Wates. on behalf of the girls and Miss Edith Thompson, who is in charge of the party, replied to the farewell speeches, Miss Thompson remarking that she found the second visit even more enjoyable than the first.
