FROSTS IN THE WAIKATO
SEVENTY-ONE LAST WINTER [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday During last winter tlierci wore 71 frosts recorded in the Waikato. Tlie frosts ranged in intensity from 2 to 11.4 degrees, and represented a fertilising agency to tho soil of inestimable value to farmers. Last year there were CO frosts, and in 1932, 81 frosts were registered. The severest frost during tho last winter occurred o:n June 14, when 11.4 degrees wer« recorded. In the last three years ther* havo been 212 frosts, tho highest recording being 14.4 degrees.
