CAR RUNS OVER BANK
MISHAP NEAR CHRISTCHIJRCH OCCUPANTS ESCAPE INJURY .[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHBISTCHURCH, Saturday A largo sedau motor-car was found this morning upside down with a rock projecting through tho roof, but otherwise little damaged, 100 ft. down tho valley beside Evans Pass Road. It had run off the road during tho night and somersaulted three or four times. It missed other large rocks by inches. Tho occupants of the car were Mr. M. L. Pago, tho New Zealand cricketer, and Miss Plimmcr, of Lyttelton, who were returning home from tho Richmond Golf Club's annual dance. Both were bruised slightly, but were not hurt. Mr. .Page reported tho accident after walking to Lyttelton. Tho occupants, had a miraculouiu escape. They got out of tho car by breaking the glass window on one side. Tho rock prevented the car from crashing another 100 ft. further down the valley.
