Hamilton, one of Britain'! foremost racing motorists, who was known as "the man with the charmed life," was killed in the Swiss Grand Prix on Sunday ancf a spectator waj fs,tally injured. On the last lap of the race Mr. Hamilton's car, a Maserati, entered by Mr. Whitnoy Straight, skidded at a turn and as it capsized, crashed into a tree with terrific force. Mr. Hamilton wsis found dead among the wreckage, and a branch or the tree fell and knocked over two spectators, one of whom died in hospital with a fractured skull.
