OBITUARY
MR. P. A. ROCKEFELLER AMERICAN FINANCIER (Received September 26, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 98 The death has occurred of Mr. Percy A. Rockefeller, financier, a nephew of Mr. John Rockefeller, senior. The late Mr. Percy Avery Rockefeller was born in New York on February 27, 1878. On completing his education at Yale University, where he obtained his B.A. degree in 1900, he entered the office of his father, William Rockefeller. He became a director of many important commercial _ interests, among which were the National City Bank of New York, the National City Company, the American International Corporation, the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, the Western Union Telegraph Company, the Remington Arms Company, the Cuba Railroad Company, the National Surety Company, the New York Edison Company and the International Match Corporation. He founded the American Society for th 9 Relief of French War Orphans and was a member of the Academy of Political Science, American Museum of Natural History and the New York Zoological Societv. In 1901 Mr. Rockefeller married Miss Isabel Stillman, of New York. He is survived by his widow, one 6on and four daughters.
