LABOURER REMANDED
A labourer, Henry Charles Sydney Kevey, aged 43, was charged before Mr. W. 11. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, with obtaining £2 from J. C. Wadmore at Whakatane on August 3 by falsely representing that he had money deposited with a firm of solicitors in Auckland. Accused was remanded to appear at Whakatane to-morrow.
