OBITUARY
DUKE OF ST. ALBANS INVALID FOR SOME YEARS (Received September 21, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 20 The death has occurred of the Duke of St. Albans, at the age of 64. He had been an invalid for some years. He is succeeded by his half-brother, Lord Osborne de Vere Beauclerk. The late Duke of St. Albans was born on March 26, 1870. He succeeded to the dukedom on the death of his father, the 10th duke of St. Albans, in 1898. His property comprises about 4000 acres. Lord Osborne de Vere Beauclerk, the successor to the dukedom, is 60 years of age. He was formerly a captain in the 17th Lancers awd was a major in the South Notts Yaomanry and South Notts Hussars, serving in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in despatches. He married in 191 ft Lady Beatrix Frances Fitzmaurico.
