LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
There was a large attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Bel-mont-Bayswater branch of the League of Mothers, held yesterday in the Belmont Presbvteria Hall. Mrs. W. Verran presided. A talk on Scottish songs was given by Miss Johnson, of Brown s Bay, who also played several enjoyable violin numbers. Mrs. Moller sang tecottish songs, which wore thoroughly appi©ciatcd. The tea hostesses were Mrs. Butcher, Mrs. Mrs. Kitchmgmen and Mrs. Grahame. l'our new members were enrolled during the attern°The Henderson Branch held a meeting in the Foresters' Hall on luesday, Mrs. Harvey presiding After business was disposed or a "members afternoon followed, each momber contributing an item. The afternoon closed with tho serving of afternoon tea. The Grev Lynn branch met recently with Mrs. "Hynes presiding over a large attendance of members and friends. An address was given by» Miss Davis, oi Tokanui; Mrs. Jury played a pianoforte solo and Mrs. Young recited. Mrs. Hynes gave the thought for the month. Tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Keats, Halls and Boler.
