Wellington.—A strong and squally north-westerly wind blew all day yester- ? day, and the weather was mild, cloudy and hazy. Christchurch. —The weather yesterday was dull but fine, with a light westerly to north-westerly breeze in the morning and a strong northerly in the afternoon. The temperature fell, with rain in the evening. The maximum temperature was 67.8 degrees. The barometer, which is rising now, registered 30.10 in. 1 Dunedin. Dull and threatening weather was experienced yesterday, with a moderate south-westerly wind. Conditions were in striking contrast to the previous two days, the maximum temperature being 48 degrees, whereas the thermometer registered 70 degrees on. Tuesday and Wednesday.
