ONE DAY CRICKET
SCHEME NOT FAVOURED The proposal to institute one-day cricket in Christchurch will not be supported by the High School Old Boys' Club. At the annual meeting members expressed the opinion that four hours was not sufficiently long to allow two teams to bat. It would mean that the players well down on the batting list would never get a chance. Mr. W. Moffatt said that it was a move made by the legislators of the game in the interests of spectators, but it certainly was not in the interests of the players, and particularly the younger players.
