ROME. Sept. 18 Francesco Petti, a Fascist militiaman, walked 50,000 metres in 4 hours 39 minutes 36 seconds, beating Thomas Green's world's record (4h. 50m. 10s) created at Los Angeles Olympiad in 1932.
