THEFTS FROM BEDROOM
WATCH AND TWO SUITS SLEEPERS NOT DISTURBED Considerable audacity was shown by a thief who entered the home of lit. EL Afthby, of 78 Shackleton Road. Mount Eden, on Tuesday night and stole a gold watch and two suits of clothing. The intruder moved about in the room in which Mr. and Mrs. Ashby were sleeping and removed the watch from where it had been placed near the bed. It is believed the thief entered the house through a window and made his exit through the back door. None of the occupants was disturbed and the thefts were not discovered until vesterday morning.
