N. Wiggins and T. Green will be riding at Foxton on Saturday. Wistgiu3 will steeT Leo Colossus and Gold Mission,; while Green will ride Atikirn and probably one or two of the members of F. Davis' tsam. The veteran Fordell trainer F. Tilley was •t the Wanganui races each day, but he is row unable to move without assistance, and . witnessed the racing from his motor-car, which wm parked at the rails near the birdcage. •• j) •• 'fhe novice Dawn Princess displayed plenty of puce in her races at Wanganui last week and with the improvement she should make she may be equal to opening her winning account in the near future. Dawn Princess is a five-year-old mare by Chief Raler from • Princess Fran and she is a robust type who should thrive on racing. Usually a gocd beginner. Bodyline failed to jump out with his customary brilliancy in' his two races at Wanganui last week and on each occasion he failed to show up prominently. The three-year-old is capable of hetter performances and it naay not bo long before he improves upon his latest showings, as he has been displaying all his former speed on the tracks. When Leo Colossus ran unplaced in the Trial Handicap at Wanganui last Saturday he was one of the principal sufferers in the crowding that occurred near the top turn and under the circumstances he did very Well to finish in the bunch just behind the placed horses. Leo Colossus is in great heart at present and should give a good account of himself in the hack class at Foxton.

Winooka and J. E. Pike resumed their "partnership at Randwick one morning last when the crack jockey took the horse j for steady work on the cinders. "He knows -he is home again," said Pike , •run. Winooka is stated to look particularly ■well, his appearance being anything but -'hat of a horse who travelled from the Northern Hemisphere only a few weeks ago.

L. J. Ellis returned to Christcburch after riding at Wanganui last week and he will be engaged at Geraldine Ellis had 13 mounts at Wanganui without riding a v.irner, the nearest he could get being a 'second on Spiral and thirds on Royal r east. Burnish nnd Pomp. Ellis will be at Ellershe to ride the members of Mr. G. M. Curne s team at the spring meeting next month.

Illuminate, surprise winner of the Gonville Hack Hurdles at Wanganui last Saturday. was leased at the end of Mny for two years by Mr A. Lile from the breeder. Mr. A S. Cleland. Illuminale could always 'gallop fast and some winning form on the -flat, but hif initial efforts at hurdling were not, very promising. However, r»e is improving and his latest performance was very encouraging.

(i F. W. Davis, the trainer of the Wanganui ■Guineas winner. Pin Money, ha,s a great 'record in that event. When riding. Davis -won it on three occasions, on St. Mark in -189), Renown in 1900. and King Billy in 1905. Since then Davis has trained five winners. Bjorneborg and Estland for Mr. T. H. Lowry, Highland for himself. Red •Manfred last year for Mrs. M.S. Curie, rand now Pin Money for 'Mr. A. Gustofson. *- -

9. Tl'R. George who is to train at Trentham _in future, is at present in Blenheim completing arrangements for his transfer, rle will return to Trentham probably next "week and the three horses he will bring to -join Synagogue are Might, the Diacquenod , five-year-old Diamond, and Boomerang, the two-year-old brother by Iliad to Might.
