AMERICAN SCHOONER TO BE LAID UP IN AUCKLAND The schooner Tahitienne, which left Papeete on September 12, en route to Auckland, where she is to be laid up. Built in 1923, originally as a private yacht for a retired American sea captain, the Tahitienne has been engaged for some years in the inter-island trade in the Eastern Pacific.
