COMBINED BREEDERS SECOND DAY'S QUOTATIONS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON", Wednesday The 19th annual pedigree ball sale organised by the Combined Breeders and Auctioneers' Association was continued ;it Claudelands to-day. The attendance was not large. The 18 milking Shorthorns sold averaged lOigns., the top price being 32gns. The Ayrshires, of which 12 found buyers, averaged Bigns. The best price was 16Jgns., brought by Mr. A. H. Clements' Somerset Herbert and sold to Mr. H. J. Ewers, of Motata. The only Guernsey which changed hands was Guernseydale Rex, sold by Mr. A. O. Haycock, of Horsham Downs, to Mr. L. R. .Harris, of Kiwitahi. The average price realised for the six Friesians that were sold was 16gns. Prices ranged 1 up to 26gns. There was a fair demand for Jersey* of good quality, but many of those offered did not reach the vendors' idea of their value, and nearly half were passed in. Five aged Jerseys averaged 20gns., while 70 yearling and two-year-old Jerseys that were sold averaged 15gns. The best price was 45gns., paid by Mr. E. J. Adams, of Pukekohe, for Premier Merry Monach, sold on behalf of Messrs. W. Dunn and Sons, Waihou. Other sales at 30gns. and over were aa follows: —On account of Mr. T. Church, Te Rapa, Jersey Brae Reformer, sold to Messrs. Smith Brothers, Hairini, 41gns.; same vendor, Jersey Brae Gleeman, sold to Messrs. Wickham Brothers, Pongakawa, 34gns.; on account of Mr. J. J. Goodwin, Morrinsville, Restholme Goldmine, sold to Mr. F. Jones, of Matamata, 36gns.; same vendor, Restholme Gentleman, sold to Mr. H. M. Martin, of Ngongotaha, 35gns.; on account of Mr. R. K. Garland, of Okauia, Tyntesfield Molina Noble, sold to Mr. K. Butler, Karapiro, 30gns.
