NIGERIAN LOAN
CONVERSION OPERATION (Received September 14, 5.45 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 13 Special interest attaches to the announcement of the terms of issue of £4,188,000 worth of 3 per cent inscribed stock of the Government of Nigeria. The issue is being made to replace £4,045,573 worth of Southern Nigeria 3J per cent stock, 1930-35. This is the first 3$ per cent loan to be subject to conversion into stock bearing a smaller rate of interest. The new loan is to be issued at 97J and to be redeemable in 1955.
