TURKISH CURRENCY
RESTRICTED EXPORTATION BRITISH CONCERN'S WAY OUT CONSTANTINOPLE, Sept. 13 It is understood that the Ottoman Railway Company, a British concern, is negotiating with the Turkish Agricultural Hank for the purchase of largo parcels of wheat. The objective is to sell the grain in Britain and to use the proceeds to pay dividends due to British shareholders. This is the only method available owing to the recent stringent regulations concerning the exportation of Turkish currency.
Other foreign concerns operating in Turkey are being obliged to adopt a similar course.
