Bare details of the results of the Wakefield Cup contest for 1934 hare just come to hand. The cup was won for England by Mr. I. B. Allman with three flights averaging lmin. 51.8secs. Mr. R. T. Howse (England) was second with an avorago of lmin. 30.3secs., and Mr. F. Zaic (United States of America) gained third place with an average of lmjn. 2o.2secs. Readers will agree that 6uch times aro hardly worth " writing home about," but the fact that light rain was falling during the contest probably explains why such disappointing performances were recorded. All machines entered this year weighed 4oz. or more in accordance with the new regulations for outdoor fuselage models.
