POINT CHEVALIER CLUB; SUCCESSFUL PAST SEASON A year of steady progress was recorded in the report of the Point Chevalier Sailing Club presented at the 19th annual meeting lasb night.. The commodore, Mr. W. H. Stanaway, presided over a large attendance of members, including a number of ladies. The report stated that 2f races- were held during the season, the entiieß totalling 196, which compared favourably with last year's club record. The membership of (the club was now 170. Mainly through the Wlorts of the social and amusements committee the club had been placed on a sound financial footing. The report also referred 1o the deaths of three of its suppoiters, Messrs. J. _ S. Fletcher, L. S. Hnrrop anc. F. D. Hain. The balance-sheet showed a profit, of £BO on the year's workings.
