OBITUARY
MR. J. D. WILLIAMS MOTION PICTURE PIONEER NEW YORK, August 29 The death is announced of Mr. James Dixon Williams, a pioneer of the motion picture industry, and one of the earliest sponsors of Charles Chaplin's career. In 1910 he organised tho Williams Amusement Company in Sydney and operated a chain of theatres in Australia.
