ELECTION OF OFFICERS [feom ouk own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Thursday The president of the Pukekohe Municipal Band, Mr. E. G. Moncrief, presided over a good attendance at the annual meeting. The balance-sheet showed a debit of £B2. It was mentioned that over £9O was entailed in attending the contest at Rotorua at Easter. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr. John Routly; president, Mr. Moncrief; vice-president, Mr. F. A. Hosking; conductor, Mr. L. Holt; bandmaster, Mr. Calvin Deed; drum-major, Mr. H. Sutton; sergeant, Mr. K. Lakeman; corporal, Mr. C. Lakeman; lance-corporal, Mr. J. Johnstone; secretary, Mr. J. Meyer; treasurer, Mr. Calvin Deed; librarian, Mr. W. Barnett; assistant librarian, Mr. T. Edwards; treasurer and secretary, Mr. W. Barnett and Mr. J. H. "Webb; bandsmen's committee, the bandmaster, sergeant, secretary, and Messrs. C. Matuschka and W. Barnett; delegates to the South Auckland Band Union, Messrs. C. F. Decrl and JMeyer; auditor, Mr. S. P. Day; social committee, Messrs. H. Sutton, L. Ilolt. K. Lakeman, R. W. Meyer, G. Matuschka, S. Edwards and VV. Barnett. , . . It was decided to compete at the \uokland provincial brass bands contests at Car law Park, Auckland, on November 10 and 11, providing that funds were available, and that each bandsman attending agreed to pay 10s toward expenses. The band would also take part iu the annual Easter contests, to be held next year at Te Aroha.
