WAIKATO BUTCHERS
PROPOSED ABATTOIRS DEPUTATION TO MINISTER [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Thursday Correspondence was received by tlio Hamilton Borough Council last evening in connection with proposed abattoirs near the town. The project is being advocated by the South Auckland Master Butchers' Industrial Union of Employers. Mr. H. D. Caro said that the butchers had spent so much time and money over the scheme that every effort should be made to come to a definite arrangement. He proposed that the Mavor, Mr. J. R. Fow, the town clerk, Mr. W. L. Waddel, and a member of the council, Mr. E. C. Day, should join a deputation to wait upon the ister of Agriculture, the Hon. C. E. Macmillan. in the matter. The motion was carried.
