LONDON WEDDING

MYER—RAW [froll OVR own correspondent] LONDON, Juy 20 Two outstanding features at a wedding on July 17 at th'j Liberal Jewish Synagogue, St. John's Wood, were that a lady, the Hon. Lily Montague, D.D., J.P. (aunt of the bridegroom) assisted the Rev. Leslie Edgar to officiate and that, under the new regulations, the wedding took place at 4.30 p.m. Up till recently, no wedding could be solemnised later than 3 p.m., but the hour has now been exteuded until G p.m. Tho bride, Miss Roma Foster Raw, arrived from Wellington two weeks ago. She is tho younger daughter of the late Mr. J. R. Raw, J.P., and Mrs. JViw, of Kelburn, Wellington, and London. Tho bridegroom, Mr. Kenneth Grenville Montagu Myer, is tho only son of Mr. Reginald and the Hon. Mrs. M.ver, of 50 Westbourno Terrace, nephew of the Dowager Lady Swaythling, who is intending to visit New Zealand this year, and grandson of of tho first Baron. Tho bridegroom was accompanied by his parents, and the brido was given away by her brother, Dr. Theodore Raw, M.R.G.P., who, in the absence of their mother, was to have been accompanied by Mrs. Bernard Myers. Owing to an accident, Mrs. Myers was, unfortunately, unable to be present, and her deputy was Miss Marjorie Myers. The brido looked very attractive in her long-sleeved trained gown of white silk net over satin, cut on medieval lines, and finished with folds of not. Her net veil was held in place by a coronet of oraugo blossom, and she carried a sheaf < f white roses, lilies of tho valley, and orange blossom. Tho trio of bridal attendants were: Miss Sheila and Miss Monica Mver (sisters of tho bridegroom) and Miss Lola Myers( daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bernard Myers). They were in Avhito silk net over satin, finished with soft fichu folds over the shoulders and flouncod with net on the traiuless skirts. Each carried a bouquet of damask roses, and wore a wreath of the same red flowers in her hair. The best man was Mr. B. S. Harris, and the stewards were Mr. Philip E. H. Samuel (son of Sir Herbert Samuel, K.C.8.), and Mr. Edward Lewis. At the special request of tho bride, Sir Thomas Wilford, an old friend of her father, signed the register. A great many relatives and friends were at the synagogue and then went on to tho reception, which Mr. and the Hon. Mrs. R. Myer held at their residence, 50 Westbourno Terrace.
