GRAMMAR TEAM'S RECORD i DEFEAT BY NEW PLYMOUTH For the sixth successive year Auckland Grammar School lias won tho firstgrade Rugby championship tor secondary schools, the runner-up being Sacred Heart College. S 6 1 1 12-1 23 13 Sacred Heart 8 5 2 1 102 4G 11 Mount Albert 8 5 3 King's ..8 3 5 - CO 104 6 Takapuna ...8 8 An exhibition in keeping with tho highest traditions of secondary schools Rugby and therefore typifying Rugby at its best, was given by the first fifteens of New Plymouth High School" and Auckland Grammar School in their annual match at New Plymouth on Saturday. A hard, fast contest, during which a big crowd of spectators was constantly thrilled by spectacular play, resulted in victory for High School by 16 points to 11. High School thus broke the sequence of five Grammar successes since .1929. Each school lias now won six of the 12 games played since the institution of annual matches in 192.3. New Plymouth has not been defeated this season, other schools against which it has gained victory being Hamilton High School, Te Aute College and Wanganui Collegiate School.
